Responsibilities Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional care for patients in an ambulatory setting. While following established standards and protocols, the RN delivers sophisticated care that is catered to the age served by the clinic. As a member of the patients care team, the RN supports quality patient and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions to support the needs of both the team and patients. The nurse will educate patients and their support system about various medical conditions, maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

  • Provides hands on care according to the plan, in accordance with all policies, procedures, and nursing practice guidelines. Includes the patient, their support network, and other health care team members in assembling data

  • Identify outcomes that are age and culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable

  • Coordinates nursing care with all other health team members

  • Modifies the interventions based on patient response and changing conditions

  • Prioritizes work based on acuity, provider schedule, available resources, and patient preferences, in conjunction with the provider

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Current Minnesota RN License

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of previous healthcare experience in ambulatory care settings

  • Basic Life Support Certification

  • Willingness to work at various sites is encouraged
