Fairview Health Services Imaging Tech Assistant in Burnsville, Minnesota
The fast paced busy radiology department is looking for qualified candidates with a minimum of one year experience, hospital experience preferred. Radiology department serves both inpatient and outpatient clientele, including busy Emergency and Surgical Departments. Hours of operation are 24/7 every day of the year. Qualified candidates will be able to work well in a fast paced, always changing environment with an often unpredictable case load. Candidates must be professional, adaptable, a strong team player but also able to work well independently, and a reliable, critical thinker with the ability to provide patient centered care at all times.
The Imaging Tech Assistant supports the Imaging Department. This includes, but is not limited to scheduling, retrieval, scan and import/burn CD. Assist patients in preparation for their imaging exams. Assists Technologist in day to day functions. Insure patient exams have clear signed orders prior to scheduling. Works closely with other departments (Emergency Department, Med Surg/ICU, OB, Clinics, etc.) with miscellaneous tasks and services to provide best practices and top service to our internal and external customers.
- Nursing Assistant, Radiology Technology student or Imaging experience in specific modality. Radiation Safety trained. Level II MRI trained (if working in MRI) Medical terminology.
