Fairview Health Services Nursing Station Technician ICU in Burnsville, Minnesota
About this position:
Fairview Health Services is looking for a Nursing Station Technician in the Intensive Care Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital located in Burnsville MN, working under the direction of Nursing Personnel on a 12 bed unit.

This position is working on the night shift
12 hour shifts
Every third weekend rotation
60 hours in two weeks, with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts.
The NST assumes delegated responsibilities as appropriate, and adheres to all relevant policies, procedures and practice guidelines.
Duties may include:
Patient cares with includes vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights and transporting
The NST also will help take care of the environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms) and use of equipment, phones, clerical, transcription, and coordinate the flow of communication on the unit
Previous HUC, NA, or NST experience or completion of technical, college or internal Fairview HUC program or equivalent related experience
BLS certification for a healthcare providers
Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and hospital procedures
Must have strong customer service, phone and interpersonal communication skills, computerskills, and ability to work with diverse population
Requires ability to provide written validation of current basic life support competency
Strongly prefer Nursing Assistant training and 1 year of hospital based Nursing Assistant experience
HUC working experience or similar experience in transcription/medical terminology
