Fairview Health Services Staffing Clerk - Home Care in Chisago Lakes, Minnesota

Overview

The Staffing Clerk serves in a staff support position to HomeCare & Hospice by creating, adjusting and archiving visit schedules for patients and employees. This role works in a cooperative manner, with patient/family, Intake, Team Leaders and employees to ensure that staff is present to provide safe care. This person will be responsible for maintaining adequate filed staff levels (RN, PT, OT, SW, HHA, HSA, etc.) for HomeCare & Hospice.

Responsibilities/Job Description

Makes daily staffing adjustments as needed.

  • Receive UTO information

  • Work with leadership to determine staffing needs

  • Recruit help as needed to fill staffing needs

Develops weekly/monthly schedules for assigned areas.

  • Produce weekly or monthly schedules in timely manner consistent with union contract language and yearly calendars taking into consideration: existing work agreements, vacations, employee requests, workshops, holidays, and budgeted needs

  • Communicate staffing needs to employees

  • Follow up in filling known staffing needs

  • Approve STO per agency policy and/or Union Contract.

Reviews and approve time sheet records.

  • Review, edit and approve payroll.

  • Advise employees of changes made to timekeeping that may affect pay.

  • Submit Payroll in timely manner

  • Consult Human Resources, directors, managers, employees, as appropriate, regarding questions and problems

Tracks and report departmental data.

  • Track STO, UTO and holidays

  • Develop requested reports

  • Maintain employee data bases

  • Process schedule changes and trades

  • Maintain employee and scheduling files

Fulfills all organizational requirements

Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Requires previous health care and staff scheduling experience

Requires experience in one or more of the following areas: staffing, scheduling or payroll.

Requires excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. Also requires attention to detail, good written and verbal communication skills, and computer proficiency with ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software

Must be able to work independently and be able to multi-task.

Preferred:

Two years of college or technical education

Home care and Hospice scheduling or staffing experience

Payroll processing experience

Experience with CareFacts Information System

Home Health care experience
