Overview
Fairview Health Services is hiring a casual Echocardiographer Technologist to join our CV Imaging team at our M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital location in Edina, MN!
The Echocardiographer Technologist performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases.
Schedule : This position will be working casually on the weekends ONLY. The shift length will be variable hours on the day shift. The most sought after benefit we offer with this role is a 403B savings plan!

Responsibilities Job Description
As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for:
Performing various echocardiograms according to departmental policies and procedures such as Transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise and pharmacological echocardiograms.
Uses contrast agents for echocardiograms as needed.
Assists physicians with trans-esophageal echocardiograms.
Prepares echocardiogram for interpretation including accurate preliminary report.
Participating in quality assurance activities per ICAEL and laboratory standards.
Attends required Q.A. meetings.
Required continuing medical education (CME).
Participates in research studies as needed.
Completing various clerical and departmental tasks for efficient departmental operations such as completing patient registration, replenishing laboratory supplies as needed ad cleaning echo cart and room after each use.
Copies and prepare DVD/CD/tapes for outside interpretation/use.
Meeting all role-related and age-specific proficiencies.
Demonstrating ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.
Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.
Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.
Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
License/Certification/Registration
BLS Certification
Additional Requirements (to be acquired within 6 months of hire)
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography; OR
Registered Cardiac Sonography (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Preferred Qualifications:
Education
Associate’s degree in Echocardiography
Experience
1 to 3 years of Echocardiography experience
