Fairview Health Services Echocardiographer in Edina, Minnesota
Fairview Southdale Hospital serves the greater Twin Cities metro area. We’re known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. We also provide on-site access to a variety of specialty services, from childbirth and pediatrics to orthopedics and surgery. We have been designated a Level III Trauma Center, which means our emergency support services are staffed 24-hours a day to help support the Southdale community if the need arises.
Fairview Health Services is looking for an Echocardiographer at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. 56-hours per pay period rotating day/evenings working from 7:30am-4pm or 8:30am-5pm (with a rotating weekend schedule) with call requirement.
Performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases. This includes adult transthoracic, treadmill and pharmacologic stress, and transesophageal echoes. The position would include a weekend rotation.
To be successful, the sonographer must be able to:
Perform various echocardiograms according to departmental policies and procedures
Participate in quality assurance activities per ICAEL and laboratory standards
Completes various clerical and departmental tasks for efficient departmental operations
BLS certification for a healthcare provider thru the American Red Cross or American Heart Association or by the end of orientation.
New hires must obtain Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Registered Cardiac Sonography (RCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within one year of hire date.
As of 1-1-2015, all Echocardiographers will be RDCS or RCS.
