Fairview Health Services Medical Officer Network & Credentialing - Fairview Physician Associates in Edina, Minnesota
The Medical Officer of Network and Credentialing works collaboratively with the Fairview Physicians Associates Network (FPAN) President, Vice President of Operations and Manager of Provider Enrollment to manage FPAN and Fairview Health Network (FHN) in pursuit of its provider credentialing mission, objectives and strategies and shall have primary responsibility for the oversite of provider credentialing of FPAN and FHN. The Medical Officer of Network and Credentialing shall have primary oversight for Defined Network out of network request management. The Medical Officer of Network and Credentialing of FPAN shall have management and reporting responsibilities to the FPAN President.
This position can be up to a 1.0 FTE with .40 FTE administrative leadership responsibility complimented with a clinical component up to a .60 FTE either working within the Fairview system or in private practice.
Serve as the primary physician leader for the credentialing clinical vision of FPAN and assist with the FHN clinical vision to assure effective and efficient delivery of quality medical care.
Participate in the management, policy and strategic activities of Fairview as determined from time to time by the FPAN President.
Promote clinical integration of the networks and clinical best practices.
Carry out all policies established by the FPAN Board.
Lead FPAN’s care delivery and quality improvement initiatives including case review and case management initiatives and leadership of the FPAN Care.
Support the network in pursuit of the Triple Aim.
Liaison to medical officers across the network and at payer organizations dedicated to network clinical integration and provider credentialing.
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
- MD or DO degree, completion of a medical residency in any specialty
- Two years of leadership within a clinical practice, HMO, hospital, hospital committees, healthcare system, etc.
Medical licensure in the State of MN.
Board certification in a medical specialty
- MHA, MPH, MBA or other graduate degree related to healthcare.
- Ten years of medical leadership as noted above and at least three years of experience working on healthcare quality. Physician knowledge of statistics and process improvement.
