Fairview Health Services Lead Resident Assistant in Mankato, Minnesota

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and hourly wages ranging from $ 22 - $28 / hour . Wage determinations will be based on similar experience.

We are looking for a Lead Resident Assistant who would provide personal cares to improve and/or maintain our senior assisted living/memory care residents’ physical and emotional well-being at our beautiful community in Mankato, MN.

This resident assistant/caregiver schedule includes;

  • 80 hours per pay period

  • Includes working every other weekend and holidays rotation

The Pillars of Mankato provides independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartments for seniors in a specially designed community. We incorporate the seven components of wellness (emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual, social, environmental, and occupational) into our 118 units that make up The Pillars. Located near the crossroads of US 14 and 169, our community has its bus that residents can ride for our outings.

  • Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.

  • Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.

  • May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.

  • Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff

  • Assists with onboarding of new staff

  • Includes assisting with on-call staffing needs on a rotating basis

Required Skills:

  • Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers

  • Ability to work in a team setting and support others

  • Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population

  • CNA certificated if under 18

Other Required Skills:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course

  • Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA
