Overview

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist on our Medical Imaging team at our M Health Fairview Clinics! This role will allow you the freedom to work at various locations to continue to grown and learn!

The Radiologic Technologist functions independently, adhering to the requirements of professional practice in performing all work responsibilities. The technologist performs a wide variety of sophisticated diagnostic testing in the discipline of radiology, as well as other diagnostic imaging services they are qualified to perform. The technologist will be performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements.

Schedule : This position will be working 0.01 FTE. The position is a casual position.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Prioritizing work to achieve efficient patient outcomes.

  • Determines and revises priorities for diagnostic testing.

  • Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs.

  • Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.

  • Applying established professional guidelines and standards for complex, routine, and non-routinediagnostic testing procedures.

  • Follows infection control guidelines.

  • Adheres to safety protocols.

  • Ensures imaging procedures meet all standards and protocols.

  • Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members.

  • Responds appropriately to emergent situations.

  • Evaluating imaging results for diagnostic quality.

  • Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances.

  • Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

  • Education

  • Vocational/Technical Training or Associate Degree

  • Experience

  • 0 - 1 Year performing radiology services

  • License/Certification/Registration

  • Certification as required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

  • BLS Certification or successful completion during orientation

  • Must have a current BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association

  • Additional Requirements

  • Understanding of current Minnesota Department of Health Regulatory requirements

  • Knowledge of quality control and safety standards

  • Previous ambulatory care experience preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience

  • 1 or more years performing radiology services
