Overview

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Cardiovascular (CV) Radiology Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team at our M Health Fairview St. John’s Hospital location in Maplewood, MN. We’re offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus! This is an ADIT Union position.

The CV Radiology Technologist performs all phases of special imaging procedures. At St. John’s Hospital, we are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. Imaging Technologists deliver services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

Schedule : This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day shift. This position will also work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities Job Description

As a Cardiovascular (CV) Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.

  • Performs diagnostic, vascular, or other related procedures to aid in diagnosis determination.

  • Assists Radiologist and/or staff physician in special procedure performance to expedite patient flow.

  • Maintains supply inventory to ensure availability of required items.

  • Assists in maintenance of equipment to ensure accurate function and availability.

  • Trains alternate staff to provide adequate staffing.

  • Coordinates coverage for special procedures and after-hours services.

  • Maintains knowledge of, and follows, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

  • License/Certification/Registration

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT)

  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists

  • Experience

  • New Grads are Welcome!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience

  • 1 year of experience in Special Procedure Department/Cath Lab
