Welcome to MHealth Fairview! We provide comprehensive treatment modalities for adolescents struggling with mental health and substance use concerns. Amongst these treatment options is the Adolescent Residential Program located in Maplewood, MN. This program provides 24/7 co-occurring mental health and substance use services to individuals ages 12-19 in a residential setting.

Within this program, the Licensed Psychotherapist acts as a vital part of the treatment team providing psychotherapeutic interventions that include individual therapy, family therapy, group counseling facilitation, case management support, assessment of mental health (and substance use), crisis intervention, skill building, and advocacy for patient needs. The Licensed Psychotherapist will join a multidisciplinary treatment team that includes nurses, psychiatric associates, chaplains, other counseling professionals (pre-licensed counselors, LADCs, LPCCs, LISCWs, LMFTs, & LPs), nurse practitioners, and psychiatrists. This role will work evening hours 2pm-10:30pm and the role does have an every other weekend expectation.

Responsibilities

  • Case management and care coordination of all assigned patient cases.

  • Individual and family therapy.

  • Average of 3 hours of group therapy, daily.

  • Average of 2 hours of milieu management and active therapeutic intervention.

  • Crisis management.

  • Treatment Plan development.

  • Consultation with team and provider.

  • Completion of questionnaires, screenings, and assessments.

  • Documentation of all psychotherapeutic interventions, case management, and significant events.

  • Program development and process improvement.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Master’s degree in counseling related field

  • 12 hours of co-occurring education

  • Has completed a minimum of 30 hours course work or one 3-credit semester college course in adolescent development

  • Has 150 hours of supervised experience as an adolescent counselor either as a student or staff member

  • Basic Life Support certificate

  • First Aid certificate

Licensure:

  • Independently licensed in mental health: LPCC, LISCW, LMFT, or LP.

Preferred:

  • 2-3 years of work in the mental health and/or substance use field.

  • Pursuing or holds a current and active LADC.
