Fairview Health Services & HealthEast is looking for a Medical Assistant to provide professional, quality care to patients in the ambulatory setting.
Join the Neurological Associates Clinic in a Specialty Care setting in Maplewood! As a member of the care team, the Medical Assistant supports quality patient and family centered care principles through performing a variety of high level functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families.
Medical Assistant duties include but are not limited to:
Rooming patients, obtaining vitals and health histories, document in an electronic medical record, administer injections, and assist with minor procedures
Gather and prepare patient information and documentation in preparation for patient visit
Promote teamwork with all members of the health care team
Maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow
Perform front desk duities as needed, including appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, phones
Current Medical Assistant (certifiied by the AAMA or AMT or able to obtain within 6 months of hire) or
License Practical Nurse (LPN) through the MN Board of Nursing
Current BLS certification required upon hire
Prior experience in a clinic setting
Willingness and ability to work at other locations as determined by business needs
