Fairview Health Services Radiology Aide in Maplewood, Minnesota

Overview

M Health Fairview is looking for a Radiology Aide at St. John's Hospital in Maplewood, MN. We are known for our award-winning heart, stroke and cancer care. St. John's offers 24/7 Imaging services to Inpatient Units and Emergency patients. We have outpatient access seven days a week.

Schedule : This is a 1.0FTE (80 hours worked per two weeks) position. The shift length will be 8 hours. Typical work schedule is on the day/ evening shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Weekends if needed.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Transports patients to maintain patient flow.

  • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

  • Assists the radiologic technologist and radiologist with procedures to facilitate patient flow.

  • Provides appropriate patient safety measures to ensure delivery of quality patient care.

  • Prepares room set-up to ensure availability of procedural needs.

  • Assembles and files radiology jackets to ensure timely examination processing.

  • Maintains supply inventory to ensure availability of required items.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification - from American Heart Association or American Red Cross and current before hire date.

  • Computer Skills: Basic ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, epic EHR, etc.).

  • Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co- workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection.
