Fairview Health Services Data Analyst I in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Overview

Responsible for data analysis, reporting and database management for various clinical quality & safety applications. Analyzes, interprets, and reports data in order to support decision making, quality improvements, and meet regulatory reporting requirements. Incorporates benchmark data as applicable. Includes the development and production of ad-hoc and scheduled reporting. Consults with customers to make recommendations on data needs and to develop functional metrics.

Responsibilities/Job Description

Customer Service:

  • Provides accurate and consistent information to customers

  • Makes the customer and their needs a priority in all interactions

  • Demonstrates a consistent sense of urgency and follows up on open issues to ensure resolution

  • Maintains high level of customer support through teamwork and communication

  • Resolves customer inquiries with minimal hand-offs and referrals

  • Follows established processes and procedures to provide support to customers via telephone, e-mail and in person

  • Utilizes appropriate resources to locate solutions

  • Escalates problems and issues as appropriate

Reporting:

  • Develops quality & safety reporting (i.e. dashboards)

  • Evaluates, analyzes, designs and maintains quality & safety charts, graphs.

  • Develops and maintains report documentation

  • Provides ad-hoc reports as requested to meet immediate needs of customers

  • Makes recommendations on report creation/enhancement based on customer feedback

Coordinates and maintains proper quality and patient safety reporting systems:

  • Grants, and maintains report access to applicable staff.

  • Educates users on navigation and report meaning (ie- Superuser).

  • Develops and maintains report documentation.

Date & Reporting Quality Assurance:

  • Monitor audit plan to ensure compliance.

  • Escalates issues to leadership as applicable.

Translates Business needs into functional requirements & processes:

  • First point of contact for end-users

  • Responds to issues and questions related to process and functionality

Qualifications

Required

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Healthcare, business administration or related field.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience data analysis and reporting, and database management experience.

  • Strong analytical skills.
