Overview

CHILD is a nonprofit, NAEYC accredited Early Childhood program, owned and operated by Fairview Health Services, serving Fairview employees and the community. We are looking for a passionate Casual Substitue Teacher to join our team of amazing professionals. CHILD teachers work together to create a loving, positive, respect filled early childhood environment which promotes cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.

Responsibilities/Job Description

The CHILD Casual substitute is a position that works with all age groups; Infants, Toddlers and Preschool children. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Implementing developmentally age appropriate curriculum; Maintaining a child friendly and orderly classroom; Implementing effective guidance and support strategies; Coordinate and contribute to the teaching team; and Maintaining certification in Pediatric First Aid, CPR, SUIDS/AHT.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field or CDA

1-2 years’ experience working with young children

Must be able to lift 40lbs.

CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

3+ years’ experience working with young children

Must be able to lift 40lbs.

CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification
