Fairview Health Services Lean Six Sigma Black Belt in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Fairview Health Services is looking for a lean six sigma black belt for our University of Minnesota Medical Center campus. This is a full-time position working day hours, Monday thru Friday.
As a member of process improvement team, this position will drive results-oriented performance improvement initiatives using the methodologies of Six Sigma and Lean while ensuring accountability, focus, strategic alignment and cross functional relationships with the other Fairview entities through the use of metrics-based goals and objectives.
The three main areas of focus for this position will be:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field.
Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or Lean Bronze Certification (with a commitment to achieve Six Sigma Black Belt certification within two years of hire date).
2-3 years of performance improvement and change management experience including data analysis, coaching, and instruction, preferably related to service delivery
Master’s degree in relevant field
5+ years’ experience in process improvement, preferably in healthcare or a related field
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
Other Required Skills
Expert team facilitator
Excellent math and advanced computer skills (e.g. Excel, Minitab, etc)
Willingness to teach advanced mathematical concepts
Strong understanding of basic statistics
Understanding of care and delivery operations and business operations within a hospital
High interpersonal skills, respect of peers, and ability to perform under pressure
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands
Ability to coach & mentor multiple personnel
Personal commitment to prescribed learning process
Extensive Lean and Six Sigma Performance Improvement experience
Extensive experience teaching Six Sigma and Lean concepts
