We are conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis.

  • Post-Acute – PT, OT, SLP.

  • Acute Rehab Center

  • 30 beds of inpatient rehab.

  • Serves multiple diagnoses including neuro, ortho, oncology, amputee, spinal cord injury, transplant, etc. Primarily adults, however see adolescents ages 13+.

  • Approximately 50 therapy and tech staff at the 2 post-acute units (core and casual)

  • Highly Collaborative between all disciplines along with MD/Physiatrist, rehab nursing, social work, dietary, etc., with a primary goal to get patients home.

This position will be working 40 hours every two weeks on the Night shift, 8 hour shifts, every other weekend. The position is eligible for benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include: Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.

  • Personal grooming, bathing, toileting,

  • Feeding,

  • Skin care needs (clean and sterile dressing changes), applying ointments/creams,

  • Oral hygiene,

  • Specimen collection/testing,

  • Position/ambulating,

  • Changing linens,

  • Promptly answers call lights.

  • Assists nurse in monitoring patient condition.

  • Accurately takes and records weights, input/output, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rates, respiration, and oxygen saturation.

  • Places patient on/off monitors or equipment.

  • Reports unusual findings to the RN in a timely manner.

  • Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients.

  • Orients patient/family to environment.

  • Assures the patient’s belongings are accounted for, documented upon admission, transfer and discharge.

  • Transports patients, equipment, specimen and supplies.

  • Assures patients get to appointment on time.

  • Uses transfer belt when assisting patients with transfers and/or ambulation.

  • Cleans sets up, and maintains rooms and equipment.

  • Orders and stocks supplies.

  • Accurately documents tasks performed in appropriate form.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current on the MN CNA Registry

  • BLS (basic life support) for healthcare providers

Preferred:

  • Experience in a hospital setting
