Fairview Health Services Respiratory Therapist in Minneapolis, Minnesota
The Respiratory Therapist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center is responsible for providing respiratory care for patients following established standards and practices. In addition, the department also provides hemodynamic and IABP clinical monitoring services. Further responsibilities include VA and VV ECMO. We are interested in applicants looking to advance their practice in the care of critically ill adult patients in an academic setting. The respiratory therapist must provide superior patient customer service and clinical skills to align with the overall expectation of a positive patient experience. This is a 72-hour per pay period position, rotating weekend schedule, following completion of department orientation.
- Associates Degree
- Bachelor’s degree – graduate of accredited (CoARC or JRCRTE)
Must be certified and registry eligible
Must be or become registered by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Must obtain BLS by start date
RRT is required for an ICU orientation.
ACLS classes will be provided if applicant does not have current certification.
Must complete RRT within 1-year of hire date
Temporary license or licensure through MN Board of Medical Practice as a Respiratory Therapist required by start date.
- 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred with pediatric or adult critical care patients.
