Fairview Health Services RN NICU Level IV in Minneapolis, Minnesota

The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU — the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions.

NICU Level IV:

  • 49 beds

  • Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above

  • 1-2 patients per RN depending on stability of the baby

  • Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7

This position will be working 60 hours every two weeks on the day/night shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus up to $11,250 based on experience.

Responsibilities Job Description

Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs.

  • Performs advanced monitoring using current technology

  • High Frequency ventilation

  • Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies

  • Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)

  • Central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines

Qualifications

Required:

1 year of RN experience OR at least 6 months of current employment at UMMCH as a NICU RN

MN RN License

BLS

Preferred

BSN or BAN

Certification in related specialty.

Additional Requirements:

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire
