Overview
The Acute Care Laboratory at M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center (https://www.mhealthfairview.org/locations/m-health-fairview-northland-medical-center) in Princeton, MN is looking to fill one (1) casual Courier position. This position has variable hours (approximately 12 – 20 hours per 2-week pay period) based on Northland laboratory’s transportation needs. The ideal applicant will reside within 25 minutes of Fairview Northland Medical Center. This Courier will travel within our region, to/from Memorial Blood Center in St. Paul, to/from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and other Fairview sites as requested.
Respond to STAT orders and complete STAT deliveries in a timely manner as determined by business need.

Use personal vehicle to make timely pickups and deliveries
Use personal cell phone to communicate delivery status
Maintain a reliable working vehicle
Ability to drive in all types of weather
Handle biohazard materials safely
Handle blood borne pathogens using universal precautions
Abide by HIPAA laws and regulations

Qualifications
Required
Experience
- Experience using maps and/or GPS technology for directions
License/Certification/Registration
Maintain a current driver licence
Maintain an active vehicle insurance policy
Additional: must be able to respond to STAT orders and complete STAT deliveries in a timely manner as determined by business need.
Preferred
Experience
Experience handling biohazard materials safely
Experience handling blood borne pathogens using universal precautions
Knowledge of HIPAA laws and regulations
Customer service experience
