Fairview Health Services is seeking a Site Medical Director in Hospitial Medicine at Northland Medical Center in Princton, MN. M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center is a 54-bed licensed facility offering a full range of primary and specialty care services to the 100,000+ population of Princeton, Minnesota and surrounding communities.
The Site Medical Director is the accountable clinical leader of the assigned hospitalist program with day to day responsibility including:
clinical quality improvement
medical staff development, performance
physician engagement and system performance
FTE is 0.2 administrative/0.6-0.8 clinical
Represents department in pertinent internal and external meetings. Coordinates with site administrative team on related matters.
This position works closely with site hospitalists and clinicians, System Hospitalist Administrator, other Site Hospitalist leads and Site Program Managers to assure that systems and processes that support the patient / physician and clinical encounter and the overall patient experience are performing at a high level of proficiency.
Jointly with other providers and through Site and Network operating committees, ensures that community, clinic and hospital standards/guidelines of medical practice are maintained.
Collaborates with site-specific service lines to provide leadership to quality initiatives, medical unit strategy, and operational plans including execution of site service line strategies.

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency training program
BC/BE with the ABMS
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Minimum of five years experience in clinical or hospital practice
Prior clinical leadership experience preferred
Ability to serve as diplomat; mentor and motivator
Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and listening
Ability to lead by example
