Fairview Health Services Manager Orthotics and Prosthetics in Saint Paul, Minnesota

Overview

The Manager of Orthotics or Prosthetics will provide the leadership to the department of Fairview Orthotics and Prosthetics (FOP). This includes assisting the System Executive with the financial, customer service, and employee engagement objectives.

This position will also be responsible for assisting with referral source development, developing operational budgets, organizing staff meetings, communicating with regulatory agencies, business development, and implementing process improvement within the department. Approximately 50% administration and 50% patient care.

Manages people & Manages finances in FOP

  • Actively recruits and hires people to create a diverse and complementary team.

  • Assists in the development of the budget and manages within budget parameters.

  • Analyzes the work within and between units, departments, and services.

  • Uses quality improvement tools and techniques to assess work issues and make process improvements.

  • Understands the importance of customer service.

  • Sets an example of exemplary customer service.

Demonstrates ability to provide excellent patient care

  • Evaluates patients in regard to fit, alignment, cosmetics, and function and patient acceptance.

  • Consults with physicians and allied health professionals to formulate and/or modify prescription criteria, prior to or following, clinical evaluation of the patient.

  • Maintains current, accurate patient documentation.

  • Maintains quality assurance and pursues improvement

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, & Licensing

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in healthcare or business-related field

  • 3+ years’ experience in orthotics and/or prosthetics

  • Current Prosthetic Practitioner license with ABC or BOC

  • License with the state of Minnesota in orthotics/prosthetics

Preferred Education

  • MA in Administration or Business related field
