The Order Design and Content Program Manageris responsible for managing the overall governance and delivery of order sets, smart sets and related order tools. This role focuses on design, content determination and regulatory program compliance of orders in the EHR while definingefficient, safe and reliable system-wide processes for orders creation, maintenance and improvement.This position is responsible for management and delivery of system projects and the integration of orders content across two EHR instances.
As a Program Manager, this role oversees the coordination and administration of order sets including intake, planning, prioritization, communication, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of program activities.The position is accountable for the development, documentation, and evaluation of orders reporting and analytics, ensuringthat order sets and smart sets support efficient use of the EHR, high-quality patient care, meet regulatory guidelines, andsuccess of system strategic initiatives.
This work integrates with Clinical Decision Support, Continuous Improvement, and EHR Application work. Ongoing close collaboration with the leaders of Clinical Decision Support, Continuous Improvement, IT Clinical Applications, Pharmacy, and system operations will be essential.
Candidates must have documented experience relevant to informatics in the healthcare service/practice arena, IT practice improvement, team/program management, leadership, and health care data reporting and analytics. Relevant foundational and applied experience includes but is not limited to: EHR system experience, informatics/data requirements, project management, portfolio management, and governance.
An understanding of front-end EHR application design for clinical care and/or data collection is desired including relevant informatics competencies for system design, order set design, clinical decision support, clinical data usage, and engagement of end users. Additionally, an understanding of healthcare delivery as well as regulatory and quality metrics for a variety of stakeholders (e.g., providers, clinicians, regulatory entities, registries, researchers) will be beneficial. A successful track record of working with diverse stakeholders while delivering projects/programs/releases on time and within budget is preferred. Expert skills in project management methodologies, process and quality improvement, and industry standard tools is beneficial.
Other welcomed qualifications include strong analytical background, knowledge of Epic orders design, computing expertise, data analytics methodological expertise, prior work helping deploy clinical decision support and orders projects, and a demonstrable history of inter-professional collaboration.
Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a STEMI field.
