Fairview Health Services Psychotherapist Trainee in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Overview
This position is a .80 position, working overnights (11pm-7:30am), completing crisis assessments in a fast paced emergency room setting. This posiition will see patients at both the Masonic Children's Hospital Emergency Department and the adult emergency department at University of MN Medical Center-West Bank. Supervision provided toward full licensure.
Responsibilities Job Description
-perform and complete crisis assessments for patients in an emergency room setting
-complete a full risk assessment
-work in conjuration with patient, family and friends to mitigate risk
-utilize motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapies
-make recommendations on level of care post crisis assessment
-work collaboratively with doctors, nurses and other hospital staff
-be able to substantiate clinical recommendations
Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited school in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology and working towards full licensure in one of these areas (LICSW, LMFT, LPCC).
