Fairview Health Services Physician - Hospitalist Nocturnist in Woodbury, Minnesota

Practice Description

M Health Fairview Woodwinds Hospital (https://mhealthfairview.org/locations/woodwinds-health-campus) seeks a Board Certified/ Board Eligible Internal Medicine (preferred) or Family Medicine physician to join the Hospitalist team as a Nocturnist. M Health Fairview Woodwinds Health Campus is an 86-bed health campus, Level IV trauma, that opened in 2000 and is located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands, and the only hospital in the southeast metro area. Specialty services include Orthopedics, Maternity Care, Spine Care, Cancer Care and Natural Care Center.

Practice Details:

  • Work Schedule with 7 days on and 7 days off

  • Shift Hours:

  • 9 pm - 8 am

  • one nocturnist per shift

  • Cross-coverage provided by off-site hospitalist until midnight

  • Advanced practice provider assist with admissions until midnight

  • Exceptional group of physicians with collegial relationships with all specialty groups that practice within the health system

  • Typically 4-10 admissions per night

  • Family Medicine residency helps respond to codes and rapids

  • Work with a collegial group of over 13 physician hospitalists and 2 advanced practice providers

  • Fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency training program

  • Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association

  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure

  • Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota

  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
