Fairview Health Services is looking for a Emergency Department Nursing Station Technician (NST) at Fairview Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN.
This is a fast paced, growing community hospital. This position floats between out Medical Surgical, ICU and Birthplace inpatient units, with a lot of opportunities to grow and learn. The culture at Lakes is supportive of people pursuing their fullest potential and being part of a hardworking team.
8 hour shifts
Every other weekend
Location: Wyoming, MN
The Nursing Station Technician position is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing receptionist duties on the station, and maintaining patient care areas.
To be successful, the Nursing Station Tech. must be able to:
Facilitate room turnover
Provide patient care
Maintain unit supplies
Coordinate activities of nursing station to support patient care
Manage medical record flow and patient care charts
BLS certification thru the American Red Cross or American Heart Association for healthcare providers.
Current (or previous) listing on Nursing Assistant Registry.
One year or more of experience working in a healthcare setting as a HUC, NA or NST (or equivalent experience.
Previous customer service experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology, communication skills and computer proficiency.
High school diploma or GED.
Successful completion of a health unit coordinator program or equivalent experience.
