Fairview Health Services Physician - General Surgery in Wyoming, Minnesota
Overview
Fairview Health Services seeking a General Surgeon physician to join our practice at M Health Fairview Clinic – Wyoming location. The General Surgeon will be responsible for the surgical needs of M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center Hospital, a busy 65 bed hospital and level 4 trauma center. This includes cases such as appendicitis, cholecystitis, bowel obstructions, bowel perforations, wounds, and Level 4 type trauma.
Practice Details:
Join a team of 6 surgeons (3 in Princeton and 3 in Wyoming)
Working as a member of a close-knit team, we ask our surgeons to provide general surgical care in the following areas: Breast, Cholecystectomy, Skin/Soft Tissue, Endoscopy, Hernia, Stomach, Intestine, and Colon, Trauma care (Level 4), Vascular Ports, and Wound Care.
Admitting Hospital: M Health Fairview Lakes Medical Center
Full time (1.0)
Call Frequency: 1:4 weekday and 1:7 weekends
Robotic access available if desired
We use a primary nursing model where physicians work primarily with the same CMA/RN
Cover night and weekend call on a per FTE basis with other partners
A team of CRNAs, perioperative staff and perianesthesia staff provide support to surgeons
Level 4 Trauma Center staffed 24/7 with Emergency Medicine Physicians
Patients are admitted to the 24/7 Hospitalist Service
We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC)
Strong primary and specialty care referral base within M Health Fairview system

Qualifications
Medical Doctorate Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA General Surgery residency training program
Board Certified/Board Eligible with the ABMS
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
