Responsibilities/Job Description

The Technologist position provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of diagnostic images appropriate to the age of the patient. Responsible for meeting the established standards of practice and patient care, supplies and equipment and for coordinating teamwork with all of the members of the health care team. 

To be successful, the Ultrasound Technologist must be able to:

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Ensure patient data integrity.

  • Participate as an active team member.

  • Correctly operate equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines.

  • Demonstrate ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect development level and cultural differences of populations served.


Required Qualifications:

  • ARRT registered or ARDMS registered.

  • Education at a level to be ARDMS registry eligible

Preferred qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program

  • ARDMS registered in multiple specialties

  • One year of ultrasound experience
